The pizzeria opened this location inside of Brentwood bar Lala’s, where it is still firing up superlative pies and slices. There are thick Sicilian and Grandma pies, plus New York-style slices and what it calls “American-style” with lots of cheese and sauce. Don’t miss out on the stromboli and calzones, too. Don’t want to stay to eat? Takeout and delivery are available online. Pedroso’s also has three food trucks dedicated to square pies in Wooten, East Austin, and Round Rock.

Little Deli & Pizzeria

This is one of Austin’s most underrated pizzerias. The Jersey-style pies it serves draw fans from all over town to Crestview to eat in the deli-style dining room or outside at the shaded picnic tables (there’s also a cute little gazebo). For those who like to get a little unconventional, it offers white and pesto pies, and has a gluten-free crust option. This place keeps it old school, and takeout can only be done in person or over the phone.

Bonus: there’s an excellent wine list that focuses on natural wine. Orders can be placed ahead of time to-go.

Feral Pizza

This North Loop pizza truck with lots of outdoor seating (and the option for takeout orders in person or online) is all about thin- and thick-crust pies. As a twist, the pizzas have wild names like the Nervous Breakdown (sausage, bell pepper, and onion), the Kevin (a white pie with spinach, garlic, mozzarella, and ricotta), and the Panic Attack (pepperoni, garlic, ricotta, and basil). The team is about minimizing food waste by making as many of the ingredients by hand as possible, and the pie style is inspired by various Northeast options with a heavy lean toward New Haven and New York — meaning crispy, well-cooked crusts.

A special called the sampler offers a sixth slice free with an order of any five, which allows for trying as many flavor combinations as possible.
