Pieous, the Southwest Austin pizza and pastrami haven, is reopening quickly in its new home in Dripping Springs. The opening date for Pieous Mecca, along with its bakery counterpart Pie-e-tea, will open on Monday, July 23 at the Belterra Village on West Highway 290 and Nutty Brown Road.

Expect the same favorite menu from co-owners Josh and Paige Kainer in Pieous’ new home. This includes Neapolitan pizza, salads, and pies. Of course the highly lauded pastrami will be there, which can be found on pizza, sandwiches, or served on its own.

Pie-e-tea will be found within the pizzeria. From the bakery, look out for pastries like sourdough croissants, giant cookies, coffee, and smoothies.

The Kainers opened Pieous back in 2013, followed by Pie-e-tea in 2016. The relocation was in the works since 2016, because they wanted a larger space to work and to serve people. They closed up shop at the original location on 12005 West Highway 290 in mid-June.

Belterra Village also contains Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew’s new barbecue and Cajun restaurant The Switch, movie theater and beer garden Sky Cinemas (from the people behind Violet Crown), the League Kitchen and Tavern’s third location, and Torchy’s Tacos.
